BOOK STAND & BINDING RESEARCH

BOOK STAND-

To really get the aesthetic feel of the cook book i wanted to produce a book stand for my cook book to go on. I decided to go for plain wood as i didnt feel any colour would be amazingly beneficial to the publication or design.

I first looked at a stand with a scooped base-

 

This stand featured more of a ridged back to place the metal bar allowing the stand to be propped up but i felt this was to complicated and i wanted something simplistic and minimal.

This was my favourite example so i had this one made.

BINDING-

As i am doing  cook book i felt a wire bind ( silver) wood work best. I considered white but felt silver would be more professional.
