SECRET 7 GROUP CRIT
We had a group crit to decide what we would use for our submission for the secret 7 project this is an important part of our design process because it helps us decide what works and what doesnt with our designs and its good to get input from other graphic design students.
people in my group are - Sam ,Mel , Roxie, Daisy & Sarah
I had 7 final designs-
I was most pleased with the most simple designs from the 7 choices. I disliked the heart one the most because everyone doing Jessie Ware had some interpretation of a heart. I found it quite difficult to try and find a an idea that would represent love that wasn't a heart. The next step was to try and find a symbol that meant love. I decided to try the eternity symbol.

In the group crit my other peers agreed that the eternity symbol on the black background didn't work because the pattern was lost and the eternity symbol on the white background didn't work because there was to much negative space and colour.
We narrowed it down it down to the two black and white tessellating square designs. Although my favourite is the first one. The second one with the stroke on the opposite squares brings more of an electronic feel and looks a lot more blocky . Its also more appropriate to the song.
Changes to make- make sure the fill on the white squares is the same so the squares are the same size and the every things in line and central.
