1950s Source Books - Secondary Research

1950's SOURCE BOOKS-

Before beginning my publication i decided to go to to the library and get out some books that related to my topic and would give me some inspiration for my publication. It was more to look at the aesthetics rather than content so i could get a feel for the 50's era.

I first looked at 'All American Ads' this book had lots of visual references for me to look at but nothing particular about housewives that i needed for my work.

I also looked at 'Fifties Source Book' I found this book to be less helpful than the first as this was more of history book about the 50s and all the iconic moments throughout the decade.

I am glad i took the chance to research into some visual elements for the publication although they weren't that helpful i still enjoyed looking at the history and I still had my 'Retro Housewife' Book to refer to.
