For part of the re-brand i decided to add something to the brand that wasnt already there and thought of producing a Look Book. When speaking to Cari she thought it would be a nice idea and sent me over any photography she had of the scarfs.
Paper size A4 Custom. 210 x 297 210 x 240
Images to be used sent from Cari Morton-
Look Book-
To start the look book i used the logo and applied it to the centre of the page. i also added issue 01 to the bottom.
For the first page 'About' i spaced the word out like the logo and made everything centralised i wanted to keep the publication as minimal as possible so the scarfs would be the main point of focus.
I repeated the same layout and style for the 'The collection' page.
The Collection - Double page spread
For the collection i decided to have the scarfs by themselves and have no text on this spread i feel like the scarves are so bold they just be floating on the white spread.Next - In order of how the scarves are above i had a double page spread for each scarf.
Knotty loop-
I added the little icon from the logo and used that at the bottom of the pages.
I had the scarf large on the opposite side-
I repeated the same as before and placed the type for the description of the scarf in the same part of the grid with the imagery on the opposite side.
As there were 6 scarfs i wanted to break up two scarfs each time so the look book wasn't to similar the whole way through. This image is a close up of some of the material i think it works well.
For the braid loop double page spread i put the type in the centre of the page and the description directly underneath as the pages before.Braid loop page-
Humbug loop-
Again to break up two of the scarves i had another full bleed image of a close up of the scarf material.
Knot Net shawl-
Interweave Loop -
The last two images of the look book feature cari+carl scarves photographs from snug gallery. I added both images full bleed.
On the first image in the bottom corner i wrote ' S N U G G A L L E R Y '.
On the second image i put Cari and carls details in the corner , website, Instagram and email.
Production of the Look Book-
I cut the look book out using a craft knife and a metal ruler.
I first pierced three holes in the look book down the center. I then as though i was producing the number 8 went through the middle through the top back through the centre and then through the bottom hole before tying it together.
Inside-
Outside-
I am really pleased with the look book i have produced i think it works as part of a set with the other branding and that It has a minimal aesthetic and an overall contemporary and modernised feel.
