Primary Research - Sent Stock

PAPER FROM GFSMITH

I requested some stock from GFSMITH website and i received this pack it had 4 small chunky booklets 2 thinner booklets. The pack consisted of different stocks and weights.

This was the box the pack came in.

On the inside of the lid it reads - The design of our latest selector reflects the different ways in which people select our papers. In some instances , colour is the primary concern , before material type , texture or weight however these priorities are often reversed making style the key point of reference.

So now we give you three modes of paper selection: Select colour, Select Black + White or Select range.

Inside it has two booklets one says select colour and one says select black and white.
Then underneath it has four smaller chunkier booklets.
The first larger booklet is about colour
At the back a large colour sample chart folds out.
The second larger booklet is about black and white stock.
The back page also gives a sample of shades and textures.
There are 4 individual smaller books

1. This iconic range of premium coloured papers and boards is generally considered to be dispensable within the design industry

2. These ranges are available in a number of weights and are ideal for text cover and stationary applications

3. Our extensive selection of textured ranges includes traditional felt marked papers , antique finishes embossed textures deckle edged papers and papers containing fibres or other visual ingredients.

4.Our diverse collection of speciality papers and substrates have been sourced from some of the most innovative mills in the world. These inspiring materials offer limitless creative possibilities.

This pack is amazing i have been sent and would definatley consider ordering some of it. I most liked the chromatic digital pure white 110gsm. Its like tracing paper but really thick. I think it would look amazing to print on to.

I really like the sample colours that fold out from the backs of the larger booklets. They are more successful than receiving a sample from somewhere else and its on a single sheet and it get lost. I really want to use fluorescent ink for my brief and they do sell it but not a huge range.

I think its so creative and innovative how they've printed on to every page with a process and how the titles on the bigger booklets have been foiled and embossed it gives the company i really professional feel.
